I broke both stator wires on my Vornado B26F1 motor (post subject is wrong), and they've broken off below the core so it will be impossible to separate them to solder the leads back on.

I have tried to find an authentic replacement, but working B26F1s go for around $300 and I'd rather not spend that much to get it back running again. I also tried Crescent but I always seem to contact him when he's on vacation, or maybe he's retired altogether now.

Any suggestions for a modern electric motor replacement with similar specs? With my limited knowledge, it looks like a shaded pole blower motor might do the trick, but not sure about HP/RPM specs. Also, would those work with the choke coil used in the 26F1 to give me the 3 speeds?

It's really a shame because I'd just had the windings on the old motor baked off and revarnished and was reinstalling it when the stator wires broke off. But as I told my wife, that's a risk you take when you mess with a 1950 fan.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
