This one came to me for free a while back, Thought I'd see what it would look like in Verde green.. I may change the green felt bottom to black.. Not crazy about the verde green either.. No badges whatsoever.. Anyone know what it is??

With a push in the "Hunter" direction,.. I have looked at lots and lots of pictures.. I've seen Zephairs and Century's both, that are different, and the same.. But now I'm fairly sure that it is a Hunter.. Had I known this beforehand, I might have gone with another color..

DO you have the ID Badge still? That would be the little semi-circle shaped stamped metal "badge" that is mounted to the base of the fan. If you still have that, what address does it give for Hunter on that ID Badge? If it says Fulton, New York, You have a Hunter Century, if it says Memphis, Tennessee you have a Hunter Zephair.

Yeah, I noticed the cage badges were missing but what I'm talking about is the badge on the base of the fan that told the model of the fan, serial number and the voltage rating and current draw of the fan and the company information.

Things just like this have driven me batty in the past.. I think I will be satisfied knowing it's a Hunter.. and since I live so close to Memphis, I'll think of it as a Zephair..:)

I think that green sheen beats industrial black all to pieces and those fans are really well built for their day

Its a good strong runner.. I don't think I'll be changing the color, but thinking back on it, Industrial black says(to me) cool old school.. The green says, yeah someone made me look better than I did.. I think a nice wrinkle finish brown, or tan may have made a better statement..

Is that radio in your picture that your fan is sitting on an old Zenith?

Ah, Ok, was wondering because Zenith made a radio very similar to that in the early 1930s.
I actually restore antique and vintage radios as a side hobby besides fixing up fans and I actually found once at Goodwill when I still worked there a 1951 Zenith "Bugeye" AM/FM Clock Radio that still worked flawlessly and still had all of its original knobs intact yet and everything for the low, low price of $5 plus tax.

Interestingly,.. That particular radio is going under the knife soon.. I've had it for a couple of years, and just now getting around to it.. Its the only one my wife will have out in plain view.. The rest go out to the "Radio room"..

Cool! I think I did spy a couple of Zeniths in your "Radio Room" photo, and also a Philco or two maybe?
