Hi all, 

   Few pics here of marellis 16" inclined model,   "Pampero"   13 kg  circa  1906-7
Ac 200 volt

  showing the not offen found early 12 spoke cage ... :D



 Usally my fans i prefer the new look ,not usally a fan of patina 
    but can make a bit of space for this one ...

      


another armature shaft been doctored !!  










Can undersatnd how these fans were placed in one spot and left to sit
    ...no handle and a bugger to move .












 Two holes in the top of motor hosing ,would of held the tag ,  " Excellor"   a name used by a australian company rebadging ercoles fans 





Showing its age, eh... :D

Nice!  For the uneducated (me), when you say another armature doctored, what was done and why would someone do it?  Sorry if it’s obvious. Learning something new every day.

Good  question ..
     Signature of early marellis' is the extended armature shaft sticking from the rear of fan ,


The reason for this is still a mystry.."Doctored"  ..butchered ,messed with  ..with the excess shaft ive often see a thread , flat spot or even a taper ..placed on the end for use for "something else  ..drive unit..,,,,
      and of couse the  multiple fake "partners fans" use this shaft  ..is one on epay now..

I always wondered why the armature shaft stuck out the back like it does. I have one Marelli and love it. Love seeing all the work you show us that you do on these fans. Thanks Jan!
