There should be a small number stamped in on the lower right hand corner of the information plate on top of the fan that when you add 20 to it it will tell you when the fan was made for example if the number is 35 then the fan would of been made in 1955.I actually have the 12" version of your fan, and I was wondering if your fan has a capacitor in the fan or if its shaded pole (no capacitor)?

Thanks Levi.  I already got some feedback on the date of manufacture question...mine has a 29 on the tag.  I'm going to post a question on the tag...is there any way to get a duplicate tag or does anyone duplicate those tags in the form of a decal?  I have heard there is someone that makes decals to restore badges, so wonder if ID tags are done also.  This is my first restoration and I am finished except for  the ID tag and wiring the speed coil and power cord.  Unfortunately, I foolishly did not take enough pictures before disassembly, so now I'm not 100% sure of speed coil wiring, so going to have to find a wiring diagram.  As to your question, mine does not have a capacitor.

Ok, so then yours is a Shaded Pole motor like mine, which means it should be fairly simple to wire up the switch/speed coil up to your fan.

Do you still need a blade assembly for your fan? If so I have a 16" Blade Assembly from a 77648 fan that you can have for the cost of shipping if you don't mind having a non-original blade assembly for your fan. The only difference between the blade assemblies on the 77 series and 79 series fans was that the 77 series fans used the Overlapping Blades and the 79 Series fans used the Improved Parker Blades.

Thank you for the offer, but I found a blade and fan is already assembled.
