![]() A friend of mine put this on my porch and wanted to know if I could fix it... The story goes like this... She bought this 10 years ago from the clearance aisle at a big box store.. She bought 2 and put this one up... She got it out and it would not run... The other fan just like it, has been running for 10 years! I took it apart and no wiring was in the base or up the neck... I pulled the oscillator knob off and noticed the rear cover was pop riveted on! I got the ol flash light out and discovered there is no motor or wiring of any kind in the head! So i am guessing this was a display model not meant for sale? It was a good chuckle and for a short time i thought someone was pulling one over on me!!😁😂🤣 Also explains why it is soooooo light... This is what you can truly call a shelf queen!! Geo... Last edited on Mon Nov 19th, 2018 01:10 am by George Durbin |

That is incredible. Almost like it was one of those "art display" fans you see at places like Hobby Lobby. But, in this case, there was a cord installed? How is the blade held in without a motor? I envision a bolt and nut through the front bearing hole or some other nonsense? Last edited on Mon Nov 19th, 2018 03:12 pm by David Allen |
