Big happenings in the AFC Museum. We are just getting around to hanging 40 or more ceiling fans in the downstairs Museum. This will be happening over the next couple of months. Here are a few that I've put up in the last couple of weeks. Edwin Guth fans. Each one has a Bluetooth receiver wired in so they can be operated by remote control or cellphone.

We're also going to be adding another row of display cases downstairs, so we can expand on the GE, Emerson, and Westinghouse time lines. Once the cases are in, we'll be asking for loans of fans. As time permits, we want to develop a brochure listing each fan on display in the museum and providing a back story on certain ones, telling of their significance. It hopefully will help visitors who just want to walk around without being given a tour.

We are also designing a Tee-shirt, for sale thru the museum. All profits of course, will go to the Museum.

As we hang more fans, I'll post pictures to keep you updated.

I have absolutely no idea who this manufacturer is, But I would venture to guess that some Renaissance Fair is missing a Fandelier….

You guys have a R&M style J ceiling fan. I would love to see it up and running there. As a matter of fact here is a pic of the one you have.

Geoff, I can make you a pattern. Those shades came with two of the Guth examples we have hanging. Let me know if you want me to do that.

Don, I'll post pictures once it's hung.

Mike, that is awesome.

Been trying to find the manufacturer for a while. I know someone else in the club has one also. This one has 6 lights

with a 20" blade and measures 24" across. also has a deflector on the bottom.

The ceiling fan in question is a 1940 Kisco Airtocrat, from the "Deflecto line of ceiling mounted circulators. Examples observed have 1/6th HP Baldor motors. Three speed.

Hmm. I wouldn't of guessed Kisco. 🤔

George, you know I will. Appreciate it. Probably after the first of the year when things settle down a bit.

Louis, I have your CF's and Andrew's dc GE CF on the benches, cleaning them off a bit and looking at longer downrods to hang them from. Chris' Emerson Rotary Duplex will be going up sometime, but it's going to require a lot of work before doing so. Paul made me the gear that was missing for it.

On the Kisko Airtocrat, I'll be replacing the light covers with round bulbs. The fixture sleeves are in place, so it'll look original again. We couldn't find any glass covers that would fit it, so we were looking into ordering some that would. In the meantime, I used some solo drinking cups in their place. A little bit of glass frosting and some flat nickel spray bomb changed their look .
