I'm new to fan restoration and wondering if enamel or lacquer paint will give the best luster finish. I will be painting my Emerson 19646 black. any input from members is appreciated. Thanks, Steve.

I use whatever seems appropriate at the time. I have fans in my room powder coated, enameled and lacquered and you wouldn't know which was which unless I told you.

It's all in the prep and application, followed by the polishing.

Cheers,
Bill
