SuperLectric 1053C
Maybe dates somewhere in 1950s? Pressed steel. 10" blade diameter.

Was tan/brown with accent coating of nicotine and oil on top. Lacquer thinner and paper towels took care of that mess quickly.

Completely dismantled, degunked, cleaned, oiled, greased, rewired, and then, not so professionally :-{, clear coated. Runs strong and oscillates nicely. (Although, .2 amps over it's .7 amp rating with 124v going in. Hottest part of motor housing measures 112F. It feels a bit hotter than that but the metallic surface might be skewing the IR sensor?)

Will be used on our back porch to keep the mosquitoes away form our ankles in the summer - In Style.

On to my next victim...

My parents had a SuperLectric fan from the 1980s that was 10" model and it eventually went bad so it got tossed to the garbage. SuperLectric (Superior Electric Company) was around up until the 1990s and then they went out of business unfortunately.

Nice fan. Appears to be from the 1960s.The company was founded in 1922 by Edmond Lawrence Hass in St Louis, Mo. and shortly after moved to Cape Girardeau, Mo. The year 1968 they were sold to United Industry Syndicate of New York. The plant in Cape Girardeau closed in 1982 and the operations were moved to Canada.
