That was one of the best blade/motor combinations for aire deliver, i had a 2 speed in brown and a 3 speed reverse in beige, BUT due to the crazy nature of the rear grille/housing assembly, they defied cleaning and had lots of sharp edges....the front corners too are a tad sharp.....

It moves tons of air, and we'll be careful pulling this one apart.

How long was the spindown time on this fan from high? I have an Eskimo 20" Box Fan from the early 1960s that has a 70 second spindown time from high which is the longest spindown time of all of my box fans I have.

the inside rear grille is the extensions of the punchouts (like a grille on an air conditioner) and they are sharp..... it moves a lot of air for sure

This one looks like 47 seconds. I'll see what it does after cleaning / lubricating the bearings.

I've been trying a few different things to improve their look. Glad you liked it!

Thanks for letting me know. I like to know the spindown times on different box fans because I like to compare older vs newer fans when it comes to spindown times.Although strangely enough my 1955 Signal Deluxe 20" Box Fan has a comparable spindown time to your Westinghouse box Fan and that's even after cleaning and lubing it.

Thank you! I never really knew what these were like until I got one.

Thank you for that info. And yes, this moves a ton of air.
