Any suggestions for replacement or cleaning of wicks? Or converting to new style bushings or ball bearings without the wicks? Fan gums up everytime you turn it off and needs taken apart and oiled thoroughly.

IF YOU CAN TRY THIS......  IT ISNT THE WICK THAT IS THE PROBLEM, BUT THE BRONZE BUSHING. SOAK THE MOTOR ENDS (HOLDS THE BRONZE BUSHING) IN A SHALLOW DISH OF MARVEL MYSTERY OIL. IN THE MEANTIME SOAK THE WICKS IN ROYAL PURPLE OR ANOTHER GOOD FAN OIL (IF YOU CAN GET THEM OUT)... THE MOTOR ENDS THAT HOLD THE BRONZE BUSHINGS ARE REMOVEABLE FROM THE WINDINGS....THIS IS AN EASY FIX WITHOUT REPLACING ANYTHING. YOUR BRONZE IS STICKY AND NEEDS TO BE FREED OF THE OLD HONEY THAT IS IN THEM
