howdy folks,
The wife picked out this little guy today and we got it for 100.00
It’s a GE Menominee model 29775 types a frame 1123
It’s A.C./dc so I assume it’s a brushed motor.
Anybody have one or worked on one ?
I can’t seem to find any info about this model on the web.

Thanks in advance.

I think I have been duped -

The numbers on the motor tag dont match the numbers on the base.
Its still cute, so I dont mind too much.
I will fix her up and make her shine and keep her for a conversation piece.

When I saw it I did an online search and found another similar Menominee with a different motor put on it.

Actually that fan might be the real deal, because it looks like the tag on the base says "Tideman Electric Co. which was what Menominee became just shortly before it became Signal. And From what I've read of some of Russ's posts some of the really late Menominee fans from around 1917-1919 used motors from other companies like GE rather than using their own motors.
So I wouldn't immediately call this fan a Frankenfan  just yet, because with it being a Menominee Fan and depending on the overall condition you could be potentially sitting on a $900-$1200 fan there.

The tags don't jive. Major oxymoron. Base tag supports a universal AC/DC motor. The GE motor tag is clearly alternating current.  I don't see how Menominee could market the fan with conflicting tags.
