Probably will get there later this year since you mentioned the townwide. Maybe a little before lunchtime.

Tom: My wife, Barbara, and I will be attending. She's from NJ and my father in law (age 95) still lives in Little Falls which is not too far from you. Excited to attend my first fair!

Thanks Jeff. My father in law still lives in Little Falls and will be 96 years old on July 1st. He's a WWII veteran. Flew P47's in the war in support of Patton's 3rd army. I have his gun camera film from the battle of the bulge and his flight gloves which he never wore. He says that big radial engine kept the cockpit nice and warm! Amazing guy from a great generation! I gave him a Westinghouse fan with micarta blades. The date on the motor tag was 1923, the year he was born. He got a big kick out of it!

Wow David !! That’s a great testament to our parents generation and sure is a great story and I’d be honored if he was my Father in law.Im sure he has many great stories from WW II.My Dad was in the Navy and was in the Pacficic in 44’& 45’ I’ve got pictures taken while he was stationed there. My Dad would have been 92 if he was still alive..Cool stories...

My father in law is a pretty humble guy. I mounted all of his medals in a shadow box. He won every medal with the one exception of the congressional medal of honor. He has a bunch from some European nations. He eloped with my late mother in law and left her in NYC the very next day to go overseas. She took a bus home to NJ and he went to England. Two months later he was making ten flights over the channel in support of the invasion on D-Day. He named his first P47 the "one night stand" (I have a picture of him standing in front of it). It got shot out of the sky over the English channel and he had to bail out. His second P47 was the Helen Marion (after my mother in law). He went over a second lieutenant and came back a major. I recall he said that he went over with 130 pilots and less than 30 returned. He says that he was promoted because he survived (he's a funny guy). I'm rambling, sorry. but he's such a great guy!
His name is Bill Peto...a member of the greatest generation!
