Hi all, I am in desperate need of a gear for the oscillating shaft on my GE 42X548 fan. After doing a full disassembly and cleaning, I lost the small gear that goes onto the top of the oscillating shaft! Entire fan is rebuilt and ready to go except for this little bugger! I was hoping that I could draw upon the resources of this group to see if anyone knows where I might be able to locate this gear.   Amazingly, after doing a search here for GE42X548 I saw another post in which Kevin Cooligan had the exact same mishap back in 2016, but since I am not yet a full member, I could not reply to see if he had any luck resolving it. As an option, I would also be willing to buy another fan (that's beyond repair) for parts if necessary in order to get the gear I need. It's killing me that this fan is completely ready to go with the exception of this one small gear due to my own stupidity! I have included Kevin's photo since it is identical to the gear gear I am missing. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!

Hey Joe,
Bummer regarding losing the gear.  I hate when stuff like that happens.  Don't feel alone, we all do it.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to help.  I mostly collect/restore Emerson and Westinghouse fans, but hopefully there's a GE aficionado in the club who can help out.  I hope you join the club - great bunch of people here.

Hey Joe,
It's a long-shot, but I just saw a listing on eBay for an assortment of GE fan gears.  I have no idea if what your looking for is there, but I thought I'd forward the link to you.
