Betcha never thought you'd hear me utter that sentence, but we do need a lot more Emersons for the Museum. Here is an opportunity to make your life so much better. Think about how appreciative your significant other will be when you thin out your displays and put them in the AFC Museum for all to enjoy.

We currently have 50 Emerson desk fans on display. Of those, 7 are doubles. It would probably be easier to list what we have, but I'll give it a try for what we need.... E1, PI242, 3 series, 4 series, 5 series, 6 series, 7 series, 8 series, 9 series, 10 series, 11 series, 13 series, 14XXX, 15XXX, 180XX, 190XX, 21XXX,22XXX,23XXX 24XXX, any 44 8"Northwind, 55 Northwind, 26XXX, 27XXX, 72XXX, 73XXX. Anything odd or unusual.

I hope this makes sense, as I took the info out of the John Witt Book. Just looking at that information made me want to get my tattoos removed, buy a RAM truck, sew doll clothes, bake some cookies, and watch the Ellen Show. I'm sure you Emerson collectors can figure out what would make the Emerson Time line more complete. Fill me in if you can. There are 27 available shelves in the Emmy section, with each shelf capable of holding 3 or more fans. If you can put a fan or fans in the Museum, let me know.
In time, we are going to have special tags made for each fan in the Museum, identifying that it was on display in the Antique Fan Collectors Museum for a time. That alone will add a couple of dollars value to your fan, or in this case, the tag will be worth more than the fan.
All joking aside, we would really like you to be a part of the Museum. I look forward to hearing from you. Kim

OK, who are you and what have you done with the real Kim Frank???

I have a beautiful 6 wing Emerson 73668 in ivory but Susan would shoot me if I sent it to the museum.

However, she is just fine with me sending all my old, ugly, black GE fans away...

Go figure...

Here are some views of the museum......

Below is the GE timeline......

And this is the Emerson time line....still has room for a lot more fans.

This is the Westinghouse and R&M time lines. I'll be asking for additions to both.

George is bringing his complete collection of Emerson Northwind 450 A-450 M fans, along with 450-10, 450-11, and 450-12 fans to display in the Museum tomorrow. Those will bring the total number of fans in the museum to close to 2000.

If you would, take a closer look at the wish list I provided of Emersons and see if there is something there that you might put on loan and have displayed at the Museum. The Emerson time line really looks skimpy.

There are 45 collectors that have fans in the Museum, out of 800 members of the AFCA. We really could use more contributors, so please, if you could share some of your treasured fans, it would be greatly appreciated. Your loans are cataloged, assigned a control number, there is a contract you sign listing your fans and assigning a value to them, and then your fan(s) are put on display for the time you determine. My 67 GE fans have been on display since May of 2015 and it's a great place for them to be seen.
Thanks.

George Durbin brought in his entire Northwind collection of 450 A -M plus 10,11, and 12.

Sean Campbell will be bringing a 14666 for display and Bill Arfmann is bringing a 24646. We still have a lot of empty shelves just waiting on you to put your favorite Emerson on display in the Museum. Check out the list and let me know whatcha got. Be the first on your block to have a fan on display in the World Famous Antique Fan Colllectors Museum.

We also have a lot of shelves available for W/H and R&M fans. I'll put a list out for those later.

Thanks everyone!

Also, are you just considering pristine "museum quality" fans or can they have a bit of patina?

I was wondering this also.  Is there a minimum level of quality for acceptance into the museum’s collection?

The 450 collection has a lot of patina on them...
I think as long as they are complete to look at they will work... But check with Kim Frank on the museum's needs...

Richard, the museum would love to display a fan with the repop Colemann deflector. I have to apologise for not replying sooner but I am just now seeing your post.

Steve, any of the Odd Ball fans would be a great addition to the museum. By Odd Ball, I mean rebadged, gov't, odd voltage, etc......

Todd, there really isn't any criteria but I prefer that the fan be complete and original as manufactured. It doesn't have to be pristine.

There are a lot of holes in the Emerson time line still. After the first of the year, I will post a list of fans still needed. Thanks, Kim

We'll be putting on the 2020 Museum meet in September. Didn't do it this year because of Fan Fair being here last July.....

Kim,
Looking at your wanted Emerson desk fans (for the museum, of course) I noticed the 180XX and 22XXX are listed.  These are ventilating fans and I have never seen or heard of a 23XXX. Just nit-picking with you.

That's good Bill. I don't want people to think I know much about Emersons….I'll leave it to the Emerson experts to set the record straight......that is, when they have time. I know having tea parties, baking cookies, doing Tupperware shows, watching Hall Mark movies, and sewing Barbie clothes takes up a lot of their time.....

Hey Kim.  I have a bunch of the 27646's and you are welcome to one.  They are nasty, but I can clean up the nicest one and send a pic for your approval. May also have a 27645 that you can have.

Kim,

That kind of detail is very easy for an Emerson collector even when they're having basal cell carcinoma, multiple kidney stones, a leg full of blood clots and heart failure requiring five new coronary arteries---all at the same time---followed by six months of rehab.

Patients are still baking me cookies and inviting me to tea parties.  You might try one and feel a lot better the next morning.

Merry Christmas and have a wonderful Holiday Season!

With friends like that it's a good thing you don't have any enemies.

You know we all love and appreciate you.  Keep up the good work for the AFCA and all you do for us!
