Interesting differences...

Decorative embossings
and perforations...

Am assuming the hemispheres
are spun drawn sheet metal.

I’m having to pick my jaw up off the floor and wipe up buckets of drool. No, I do not have one yet, sadly. VERY sadly!

Correct, no collector has stepped forward to say they have one. But for all the pictures that exist of them, someone somewhere has one. A big old un-fun waiting game.

Those are (literally) brass baskets, spun and embossed with that design. They probably had to emboss the baskets after the metal was spun, otherwise the design would stretch. Those center bands and crowns would likely have to be soldered in place.

Pretty fierce

Too late :P

That’s the first good picture I have seen of that first style of embossed casing shown on the globe style motor in that last ad that has the Hunter Tuerk blade adjuster on it. Pretty cool!

This right here is terrible engineering. I have to think this is why we haven’t seen one yet. Premature failure, caused by regular use but incorrect lubrication.
