Stumbled across this fan for sale locally; looks to be a nice brass caged 2- or 3-star GE AO.  One question: in looking closely it appears that the blades are affixed with screws, not rivets.  Does anyone know if this was ever done originally at the factory?  Thinking it was probably a later addition/modification, but with the condition of the screws being pretty nice I thought I’d ask.  Also, any advice or thoughts on the fan itself?  Thanks in advance!h

I am quite certain they never used screws on the blades from the factory.  I am anxious to hear Steve S. chime in on this since he knows a great deal about GE fans.

The screws have to be a later modification.

Thanks guys. What do you think a fair price would be? I haven’t seen it in person yet but it seems to be all there from other photo angles. The seller says that it works well...
