Hello everyone this past Saturday one of the Members here that lives near me gave me 4 fans that he needed to get rid of as he is currently trying to downsize so he can move, and he gave me 2 fans that were completely disassembled but mostly complete and 2 fans that were fully assembled and complete but in unknown working order (cords were shot on them) and one of the fans that I got that was completely disassebled but mostly complete was a late model 12" GE AOU Form Number AN1 Model No. 75423 which has the painted aluminum blades.

The fan is just about completely put back together, the only problem I'm having is trying to get the motor back into the motor housing, I tried installing it back in but the motor got stuck part way in and I can't get it back out and it won't go in any further. Does anyone on here have any ideas on how I can get the motor into the motor housing without screwing up the windings?

I've heard some people say that putting the motor housing in the freezer is useful for this kind of work, but I can't remember if that trick was for getting the motor out of the housing or into the housing, and I know about the PVC pipe trick for getting the motor out of the housing, but other than that I really am not familiar with the tricks for getting the motor back into the housing on these old AOUs.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
