Hi, new to this forum. I've had an Emerson Model 77648-SO since the late 70's. This fan has been used just about every summer since then. Last year I went to turn it on, and got a spark and something shorted out. So I decided I would restore the fan. I am missing some parts for the oscillating part of the fan. I had them originally, but as a dumb kid who didn't know any better have lost them. I need at least the worm screw that drives the round gear, and maybe some parts that secure it as well, and the arm that runs from the oscillating knob to the stay on the fan body. Is there a parts manual some where for this fan?
Thanks, David

I was looking through the forum after posting this, and realized the arm that is still on the fan is what attaches to the ocsillating control knob. So I really just need the worm gear parts.

Check to see if the capacitor is bad.
