For those who asked, I'm told this version of the pancake did not have a badge. Thanks

If I've learned one thing about GE pancakes, it is to never say never. If we go by the notion that 1899 pancake serial numbers fall in the range of 31001-44000, then 14 of the 54 fans in the GE survey are out of sequence. Two of those fans have s/n's in the 78xxx and 79xxx range. One of those is Steve's. The other twelve have numbers before 31001, as early as 22372. Of those twelve, 11 do not have cage badges and the other wasn't noted. Four other fans in the survey are noted as not having badges within the range of s/n's starting with 324xx, 326xx, 345xx, and 38602. Nothing is noted about the cage rings being stamped or cast, but the six 1899 models in my collection, three are missing their badge and all have the stamped ring.

Note* I have nine other fans in the survey listed as not having badges but no further info such as model, volts/cycles, etc. Of those three are prior to 31001, and six are in sequence, with the latest number being 398xx.

Steve, please do not speculate what I did or didn't do, simply not knowing exactly. I did not supplied anyone with this solid ring reproduction, I just confirm the fact that such a cage with solid ring exists. Another fact know to me is that I know more examples than one of this type of ring in existence.

Can we please recall a request made not long ago. Please don’t critique a member’s fan for sale.
