Hi all,
Was asked by a gentleman over your way, if I could fab up some Bergman cages  , struts to suit,
A sample cage was sent to me and I took up the challenge
..stepping out of my comfort zone of Marelli..

like to share the results ...scope was for me to use the same method , no solder used .
Made up my own tooling for the S wires etc.

My friendly machinist
took the ends of the S wires from 3.1 mm down to 2.5 mm for entry in to Cage ring

plus machined up the centres

A forming jig has been made ,for replicating the struts ..below is a proto type

Next is to knock out 12 of these ...soon

All brass was formed cold ,   is  not K&S brass  ..witch I usually use , as anneals readily ..

I very happy with the results  ...nice change from marelli eh !
cheers from down here
jan

They look great Jan.
Another style of Bergman cage on an AC Bergman I had.   This one is a 12" fan.

And on Ralf's DC Bergman, more like the cage you made.   I think this is also a 12" fan?
