Today I saw a small stationary Emerson at the antique store. It appeared to be 8" and had brass cage with S wires and the Parker shape blades, a one piece stamped unit.
I didn't get a good look at the rest of it, but I was wondering if it's a 14644. That seemed to be what I found from doing a search on a little brass Emerson.

I'm pretty sure the price had $50 on it.

Could very well be the 14644 or the nearly identical 19644.  $50 would be cheap for just the cage.  Those are very nice fans and one of the best 8" fans made.  Can you still retrieve it?

$50 working or not would be a good deal.  Working, would be a great deal.

Run dont walk. Just a tip for the future. If it has brass blades and brass cage and its under 100, dont leave the store without it. Even if it just has brass blades. Brass anything is getting harder to get. You used to see AOUs and those stanped R&M fans all the time at flea markets and estates but you rarely see those anymore.

I'm going to try to go back Wednesday and get it. The shop closed on Mondays and I won't have time tomorrow.

I know a few years ago, I went to an antique store here that since closed. They had a 6 wing R&M half off for $75 and another brass fan I forgot. I wanted the R&M but didn't have the cash on me and the next time I went it was gone.

So don't want a repeat of that...

The 6 wing R&M is nothing really special as R&M used their 4 pole motor and put a shallow pitch 6 wing blade on it.    All 12 and 16" R&Ms in the late teens for a few years were 6 wings, four pole fast turning motor.
