Recently picked up a 29645 at an estate sale. It looked completely unmolested but very dirty and rusty. It has a steel blade and from what I know about this model it should be a brass. Did any of these models get produced with a steel blade?

Blade should be brass.   Maybe it has a blade swap from a 1930 of later 9" fan model which would be steel.

Not a big deal. Going to restore it and find it a new home. I suspect a brass blade would be hard to find and not inexpensive.

The 9” Jr Oscillator has the exact same hub as the 27645/29645.

9” non oscillator Jrs wouldnt have the larger nipple on the hub and would assume match up to the 26645/28645.

I likely have a set of used brass blades removed from the hub you can have if wishing to swap back to brass.

Your post reminds me Chris of an extra 27 or 29645 blade I had and I put it on an Emerson Jr.  Didn't leave it on the Jr. though but sold the blade many years ago.  It fit perfectly on the Jr.
