Hello folks,

With next weekend quickly approaching, I wanted to send out some notes regarding the event.  Please take a look if you’re coming.  The RSVP date has come and gone, so if you plan on attending and have not let us know you’re coming, please do that as soon as possible.

— PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS YEAR THE EVENT IS AT A DIFFERENT VENUE.  ITS AT 100 Water Works Rd, Coatesville, PA.  This is a township park, called Layton Park.  We have pavilion 2. Please set up all fans here.   We do not have other pavilions. They are reserved by other groups. Also, our conduct will impact our ability to have meets here again, so please be respectful of other groups with regards to parking, littering, etc.  And a reminder that since this is a township park, adult beverages are not allowed.

— UNLOADING- I will try to reserve a couple of spaces right in front of Pavilion 2.  They will be marked. You may use these spaces to unload, but please move your car as soon as you’re unloaded to allow others to use them. Please move your car before arranging your table, socializing, etc.   There will be plenty of time to do that after you move your car.

— TABLES, CHAIRS AND SETUP- we will have plenty of picnic tables to set up on.  If you’d like to have a chair to sit on, please feel free to bring one, however there are benches on the tables to use to display fans or park your butt on.

— MEET HOURS- while the park opens at 8, the meet starts at 9 to give us a little time to arrange tables and set up. Please DO NOT plan to set up until after 9.  If you arrive sooner, you’re welcome to help get things set up.  Conversely,  because the park gate locks up at dusk ( now 7:30 pm), the meet will end promptly at 6:30 pm so we can finish cleaning up. All fans must be removed from the pavilion by 7 pm.  Please be respectful with these times to give us adequate time to set up and tear down.

— FAN PRICING AND DUTCH AUCTION- - please price any fans you’re bringing and add your name to the tags to mark your table with tape with your contact info. If your fans are for show only, please mark them “NFS” so everyone knows they’re not for sale.  DUTCH AUCTION- the rules are as follows.  You can place any fans here that you’d like, but they must remain there for the duration of the sale. They must be tagged with a reasonable start price and your name. By placing them there you agree to sell them for up to a 50% discount.  This has been a big hit the past few years and it’s a great way to move fans that you don’t want to take home.  You cannot leave fans that don’t sell.

INCLEMENT WEATHER- Yes, the rain from Dorian may be grazing us just off the coast, but this is a rain or shine event as we have a nice pavilion.  Keep your fingers crossed it goes out to sea.  You may want to bring a tarp to protect your fans if it blows into the pavilion.

If you have any questions, I can be reached at 717-579-6946.

See you on Saturday!!!  It’s gonna be a great meet!

Cheers,
Lane and Jeanie

Our meet always has so many fans that God just feels compelled to show what a REAL fan looks like. Shame you can’t make it. Beginning to think you don’t like us “southerners” ! 😉

Projected path seems to be taking it well out to sea before it gets to us.

You get the Spring thunderstorms and we get the Fall hurricanes. Lol.
