I've seen the entire 1958, 1959, and 1960 catalogs and noticed they each have a cream colored roundnose on the back. The 1958 catalog has a different picture than the 1959 or 1960 catalogs which each have the same picture. Do any of the 1961-1966 catalogs have a different picture on the back? And if so, does anyone have any pictures?

Eric,I reviewed my Emerson catalogs from 1958 to 1970, most of which are not colored and do not see the cream colored roundnose you describe.
The colors they describe in 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965 and 1970 are "metalescent-bronze".
In 1961 the 16 1/2 Parker-blade fans are finished in metallic-gray enamel, and the 12 and 16 1/2 deluxe overlapping blade fans are finished in the metalescent-bronze.

The 58-60 catalogs are in the gallery and they're colored. They simply show the cream roundnose in the picture without decribing the finish. Do you have the commercial/industrial which were also made at the same time? Because they wern't colored. Andrew Block posted the back of a 63 commercial/industrial and it wasn't colored.

The later fans are definitely cream colored. I have a full complement of 36" and 52" in that color, all have the double lightening bolt badge so I believe they're 1963ish.

AFAIK, Grainger continued to sell oil bath fans even after Emerson "discontinued" them.

I don't know when Emerson "discontinued" their various fans but the 1992 Ventilating Products catalog and Distributor price list covers the Whole House Fans, Heat Fans, Exhaust/Ventilation Fans and Air Circulators in great detail including color and finishes.
