Sad news, I believe I bought a Westy tank a couple years off him at fan fair. He seemed to be a real nice guy and gave me a good deal

That really is sad news.  I always enjoyed cutting up with Bill at our fan events.
He had an ornery sense of humor.  I will really miss him...
My condolences to his family.

Thanks for the news Larry.  I talked with Bill at several Fanfairs and saw him over the years.   Like others said, he was a nice man.  May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of this, Bill was a good man and I'll miss talking with him at Fan Fairs.  Also had a great time with him and Mary Jane at the regional he held at his home.  Many years ago he gave me a section of steel pipe for bumping the stator out of Westys, which was the first high tech tool of my antique fan career.  I'm sure he gave St Peter his patented sly smile when they met.

Didn't know him personally but bought a couple fans from him at FF's in the past.  From reading old collector mags he appeared to be a significant contributor to the hobby overall.

Condolences to his family.

Thanks Larry for letting us know about a wonderful and close friend from the early days of our group.
Bill  and Mary Jane shared Laverne's and my sense of humor and we spent many hours together at the conventions, our home and theirs.

A few months ago my granddaughter Tess and I had a nice visit at their home and shop.

You could never find a nicer couple and family.
