I started to tearing down my Emerson 19646.   noticed that the rotor is stamped 1464

6.  Is that just a part number

They used those a long time, think all the way up to the 27 or 29 series.

Sorry 14646. Was just wondering why it wasnt 19646 like the modal #  maybe just base # for all the models 19, 27, 29 ?

I have always thought that was strange. Evidently since the rotors are the same, they just stayed with the same casting. If I remember right, the 14s were the first without the start switch.

O. Nice info. I really like Emersons. Always willing to learn more about them. You have any thoughts on how to BEST REPAIR a cracked base. Prefer abbly to look unnoticeable without repainting

Does the crack separate the two pieces? If so, you can get it brazed and then grind it down.

Yes it will. Looks like it could use a repaint anyway, I don't think you'll be able to touch that up.
