Does anyone know if there is an oil port somewhere?  Fan hums but it takes a lot to turn blades by hand.

These motors have a single bearing with the oil wick located in the rear of the motor underneath the switch housing. Generally you need to drill a hole in the pressed in cover at the very top (12 o'clock) to allow oiling of this motor. If done correctly, oiling in the future should be relatively simple. These motors take a lot of oil, especially when dry.

ok,    Hope this doesn't sound dumb but when you say switch you are refering to the on/off switch correct?   If correct remove the on off switch and there are 2 screws holding a small metal housing with the wires inside.  There is a flat plate there.   Drill a hole in that flat plate?

ROBS METHOD IS A GOOD ONE. I HAVE ALSO LEARNED THAT IF YOU CAN GET THE BLADE OFF YOU WILL SEE THE FRONT OF THE ROTOR HAS FINS. AT THE BASE OF THE FINS ARE A SMALL SERIES OF SQUARE HOLES. SIT THE FAN ON ITS BACK WITH THE SWITCH COVER DOWN (I USE A PAIL OR 5 GALLON BUCKET TO SIT THE FAN ON ) AND SHOOT OIL IN THE RECTANGULAR HOLES AT THE SHAFT WHERE IT ENTERS THE FRONT OF THE BEARING AND LET IT SOAK DOWN TOO THE REAR OF THE MOTOR
