Ok I'm close to being done. Put power to the motor and it ran in all 3 speeds , backwards ( clockwise  ). I swapped the head wires still the same , will reversing the plug wires do anything?

It means you probably put the stator in backwards. Reversing the line cord won’t do anything.

Thanks ,i diddidn't think reversing the
 Plug wires would do any thing either.
So i just have to pop an end bell off and turn the rotor around.
