Hi everyone,
I am about to go see my machinist friend and wanted to bring him the spare oscillator part on my other emerson so he can try and replicate itmfor my 77646-ce, but i cant seem ro get it apart after it is off. Any idea how it is put together, and how to get it off?

Thanks

I slowley drilled and chiseled out the old piece to investigate. Looks like theres a small spring and ball inside

More internals. There is a spring and ball pushed against the outer ring
Hmm, this is a conundrum.

There is the pivoting u shaped plate that is free moving from the rest. The cylinder piece that potrudes up is one piece with the crescent shape that holds the spring and ball.  Opposite of the crescent piece is another slimmer crescent that is also part of the protruding cylinder piece..

Twist the cylinder and ring and you will see the u shape slide around the immobile pin.

I do not see any weld seams on the outer ring

They are not intended to come apart. Just find a used one on the forum.  They’re plentiful.
