Yep I think that is similar to the one Stefan Osdene ownes. His base is a little different. I wish I had one.

That base looks  like it came from an Atlas microphone stand.

ah yes jim one of my favorite places to be the dentist chair. (not!!) i always joke with the woman that does my teeth you know getting your teeth cleaned sounds like someone running their hands down a chalkboard

It was still twice the price of the Electro-dynamic from 1882. But yea I will still take 10 of them!!!!

The base on mine looks like the base used in a physics or chemistry lab and came out of Thomas Edison's home in New Jersey that he rented from a St Louisan.  John Witt was gracious and put me on the road to acquire it!
