That's a pretty intimidating fan. Don't turn it on unless you mean to use it....like a 450 Magnum.

Sorry, no before pix. Same old story though, grungy greasy, corroded, scratched,bad wire, broken switch. I took it all apart,sanded,primed, sanded some more. Spray can rustoleum appliance epoxy 2 coats. Waiting a week to harden gave me time to rewire the headwire, work on the cage and blades and  start polishing the brass....a week or so off and on. What took the most time was hunting for the front shaft cap that was dropped and never found. Another week for a replacement to come. So now a month later I reassembled the pieces into a "new" fan. No magic wand here, just patience. The condition of the stator and speed coil windings was fine so it started and wound right up to all three speeds. Easy peezy.  Mitch
