I am as new as one can be to fan restoration. I just loved the look of the E. E. 79646-ax fan on craigslist and decided to pick it up and try and restore it. I replaced the wiring with 14gauge wire and have run across two problems. One, I cannot seem to connect the oscillator back up correctly and two, the fan is significantly louder than it was on the first two settings, I assume this is because I created a problem with the inhibitor but I’m clueless. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I can furnish pictures if requested. Thanks!
