Picked up a working, seemingly fully functional Westinghouse Mobilaire a couple weeks ago and was hoping to clean it up and refinish it, but upon taking it apart to clean, I found the head wire was frayed and basically petrified. I'm pretty handy and felt confident with all the information available that I could replace it. However, after further exploration I could use some advice on what the best plan of attack should be or if this is even worth it/possible given the fragile state of the wires. Hopefully my pictures give enough context but I'm happy to provide more or any additional info. Thanks in advance!
