So I am reworking a Emerson dougnut fan. I have it almost all apart but for the stater. I would not take it apart and work around it but the wires were bear going into the fan. I used the PVC pipe method and it does not budge. I put WD around the case. Not sure how to proceed. Any ideas would be helpful.

I did a work around. I left the stater in and pulled new wires through.
