Long story short, the ceiling fan shown here used to hang in the porch on the side of the house I just bought. I'm rehabbing the house and while deconstructing the porch, I removed the ceiling fan and found it to be way heavier than I was expecting it to be. I hadn't paid any attention to the fan to that point, but the weight - and cast iron housing - got my attention.
I don't know much about the world of ceiling fans, but I know the Hunter name and know there are fan collectors and aficionados out there; I'm hoping somebody can help me identify what I have.
It appears to have lot of brass parts, and the bottom plate is done up in some sort of grape motif. I think the housing has been painted brown, although it looks like it was maybe white at one time. Here's the ID tag from the fan:
So...it's a Hunter 22306, catalog # 22306-003, cast iron housing, grape-themed bottom plate, with a light.
Anybody know what I have, and/or if it has any value to somebody out there?!
