It was 60 bucks. Heck the parts are worth three times that. Spins free wiring is toast and the blades are brass.

The bottom of the fan has a paper label dated 1916. I put laminate clear over it to protect it when I finish it.

I have not really started the AOU fan yet but am working on seeing if I need any parts. I found the connector to the oscillator has a couple of nuts. I don't think that was original. What does one with my configuration look like? I can get a brass end cap nut. But would like to see what it originally looked like. Thanks.

You need the four lobed "star" shoulder nut and maybe a washer or two.

Ed,Are you sure those blades are solid brass or just brass plated steel? Did you check them with a magnet. I have a few of those green 2 stars like that and the blades are actually brass plated steel.

I thought I posted but yes they were indeed steel. I scraped the paint and saw brass and assumed it was brass but it was brass paint over brass paint.

Almost done. Its all together but I need to put new feet on it. I have some but need to pick up some brass screws to mount them.
