What’s the largest size made by polar cub? I found one that is about 17” diameter at my grandfather’s house. I don’t think the logo has been put on a different cage bc the fan is also marked polar Cub. I will add pictures when I can move the fan into better light.
Thanks

I had one. Early Polar Cubs were 6”. It was amazing to see a 16” fan labeled Polar Cub.

Thanks for the reply— looking up 16” instead of 17” helped me find some threads. Any idea what it would be worth? It works and is in good condition. Again , I’ll add pics when I have better ones (at the moment only have some bad flash ones)
Katie

If it's like the one I had years ago, it has brushes and is an AC/DC motor.

He's right. Most collectors will snub their nose up at it as it is not a IC/Sprague Lundell. The facts are, there are probably more Lundell fan motors surfaced than the 16" Polar Cub. Fack Jack.  :D

Here are pics of the fan. I’m clearing out my grandpas house and his four plus bldgs, so if anyone is interested in buying , let me know. Otherwise I’ll take it home and use it myself probably.
Thanks!

You should keep it, because it was your grandpa's fan; (sentimental value). Maybe he even bought it when it was new? If you sell it, (and if you're like me), you will probably regret it in the future.

Most of us remember "the fan at grandpa's house" that we used to play with when we were kids, and wish we had grabbed it "out of the pile".

However, it is your fan, so do what you want with it.

We have a lot of stuff. They were depression era folks and didn’t throw anything away. I’d like to sell it but was hoping to get an idea of a fair price since I don’t know much about it.
