I used a third party photo hosting site to load pics. I use ImgBB, or Flickr where I upload my photos. Then when I want to post a photo I go to that site, select share then embed codes which differ a bit from site to site. On ImgBB I select BBCode medium linked, copy and paste that link into my post.
Flipping from page to page to do this is actually faster than loading on this server. Plus, I can share these links in other places very quickly.
I always keep my originals on my desktop hard drive, though.
A couple of years ago, a lot of us got "Photobucketed" when Photobucket held our photos ransom and tried to charge us 300$ to access them. If you've seen that kitten that Photobucket used to replace your posted photo, you know what I mean.
Cheers,
Bill

Yes, I have the same issue, but only on my home computer. I can upload pictures fine on my work computer, but not at all on my home computer. Like you said, "uploading... please wait..." (and wait, and wait, and wait...) But everything else works fine on that computer: surfing, shopping, streaming, uploading pictures to other forums, just not this one.

I also have trouble loading photos from time to time.  NOW I am "please wait" and the TEXT is not getting added.  No photos.

As far as I know, I don't think this has anything to do with the picture uploading problem, but I can't seem to embed my videos in the forum. I tried several times by hitting "share" then "embed" then "copy" and then pasting the code in the forum. For some reason it always writes out the code info instead of embedding the video.

file size is the issue - - same reason for rotated images. Resample by 50% (windows paint, etc - - crop & save) If you have Photoshop, you can batch process 100's of images with one click

My camera is a 20mp high resolution camera.

Mystery continues
If I log out and then back in I can upload pics into one thread, however, only one time.  I would have to log in and out to load pics into another topic

I think the server is corrupted. Lots of issues currently.
Consider starting an ImgBB account and load your pictures there. It's very easy. You can load many picture at once, even do a complete album in an hour max.
Then when you want to load pics here, just go there and select the share icon located in every pic, then select the correct code. I use BBcode medium linked and the pictures come out perfect. Copy and paste. You can load as many as you like.
Cheers,
Bill

I figured it out. I hit "share" on my video, then copied the link. Then I went to AFCA, hit "Insert a YouTube video", then pasted the link in the box. It worked! I can't believe I never saw that "Insert YouTube video" button before. I feel like a dummy.
