Suggestion needed please. Need to straighten this shaft a little. Wondering if i put it in vise would the housing around it give out before the shaft straightened out?

Well, seeing as how the housing did not give way when the shaft got bent, I'd say that it probably would hold up to straightening the shaft. I would be inclined to clamp the housing protrusion in the vise and force the shaft perpendicular to the vice jaw.
.

A lead mallet would be my tool of choice, or a lead block and a medium to large ball pien hammer.
