I was advised this product by a powder coating business to use to buff out minor scratches and swirl marks in powder coat. I ordered it off of Amazon in a 12 oz. container for a $20.00 bill + shipping. FWIW.. I was taken back by the results. A bit expensive, but good stuff.

I used a fine buffing compound in the past and it slightly dulled the gloss black powder coat finish in the area I was buffing. That won't happen with this 3M stuff.

I use a lot of products for polishing from Mequires, Mother's, etc., but I save the 3M stuff which is 3 times the cost for the very "special" times when it needs to be top drawer.

Cheers,
Bill

I find myself going back to the Meguiars 205. My mind says 3M is better, my eyes say Meguiars

If you can spare the cash, try 3M Pertect-it EX 39062 Ultrafine Machine Polish. It comes in a pint for 40$.
The main difference I see is that you can achieve the same finish using either Maguires or 3M, but with the 3M it's a single step and takes about 25% of the time. And time is money to painters, so they pop for the good stuff.
No need for a machine glaze with this stuff. Also, use a wool mop, not the foam type. Really speeds up the work.
