Friends: The lever oscillator that I acquired last summer in my haul of fans is finally complete today thanks to reproduction parts from Jerry Bravi for the oscillator linkage (top and bottom) and the vertical spindle which was mangled. Also thanks to Rick Powell who did a great job on the japanne (as he always does) and to Ron Bethoney of New England Brass Refinishing for the brass work. Darryl Hudson provided the rubber feet and the specialty grommets.
Here are some before pictures:

After:

Here is a movie of it running:

Very nice David! So glad you got that beauty back into like-new shape!
Sounds healthy as any early 646 stator should! I like the sound they make starting in low. It can be haunting on some examples(my 21646 and one 19646 do it).

Congrats sir!

Thank you Alex. This one whirrs with a very slight whistle. It was pretty beat when I got it.

Nice looking David.  Do you see a difference between your gearbox and mine?

Yes, Steve. The nut holding the gear to the rotating cam is slotted on mine (probably not original) and yours has the correct knob. Now, where to get the correct one???

Also, the mystery hole on the underside will be needing the stop screw that Vic provided to Darryl Hudson to reproduce.

I don't know if anyone has that thumbscrew in stock but any competent machinist should be able to make one.

Darryl Hudson has them as a stock item. He's sending me one with the stop screw that he is reproducing (for the underside). Thanks for pointing that out Steve. I might not have noticed that.
This is a wonderful club. There are so many members who contribute their time, talent and skills as I said previously. All nice people too!
