So, what have I got here - - looks like an earlier cage on a 1901 stick pancake, trying to get a clear shot of the tag sent, the 1900 Pancake I had had this same cage.I like the open ring personally.

This is all the images I currently have - - I have (owned) 2 1901's & a 1900 - - but this is my first stickmount. -Love the big brass band/tag

The guard is an earlyl 1899 one.  What is strange is how the switch knob sticks out so far on that bare shaft.   Could be that the switch is a 1902 model which had a longer shaft to accomodate the pointer on the 1902 models.

I noticed the extra length on the switch, those parts are repo'd aren't they?

Wonder if a trade could be done on the cage, the 1901 was a pinned version, correct?

Correct, and the method of attaching the badge was different; is was held on with a stud and nut with solder.

This cage is 1900, for certain (3/16" back ring). The 1899 both rings are 1/8" Dia. brass.
