![]() ![]() ![]() I’m trying to remove the one piece gearbox. I have removed 2 screws that hold the centrifugal start4 screws that are inside the motor holding the gearbox to the steel housing. I have removed 4 screws on the bottom. I have tapped it with a rubber mallet. Using a screw driver it has moved a little on the bottom. But I’m being cautious as I don’t want to crack the gearbox assembly. Photos attached. Thank you Malcolm MacGregor |

![]() Ok Forum Members!I thought I’d share my fix, as I didn’t get any helping suggestions. I decided not to pry from the back as the pot metal would crack. I used a. Socket and an extension to pound it off from the inside of the motor. I also had another set of helping hands. A couple of strong taps on the. Center of the rear bearing did the trick😎 |
