I have never seen a Penncrest belt drive before. I'm sure someone else has one. If you have one, post a picture of it here ![]()

This must have been JC Penny's attempt to compete with the Sears Homart. The Homart fans looked like this around this same time period. That Penncrest is really cool and great you have the brochure and sales receipt. That was a significant chunk of change in 1969.

I HAVE THE KENMORE VERSION AND THE FRAMING, PANELS AND ESPECIALLY THE SHAPE OF THE PANEL HOLDING THE KNOBS IS A RINGER FOR THE KENMORE SO MAYBE THE FRAME WAS USING SIMILAR DIES (THE LOUVERS ARE DIFFERENT) WITH A DIFFERENT MOTOR AND BLADE AND GRILLE, BUT EVEN THE V BLADE STAND IS SIMILAR. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE 2 SIDE BY SIDE. I DO HAVE THIS FAN IN A COUPLE OF MY VINTAGE PENNEYS CATALOGUES
