I was wanting to check another Vornado to see what the draw for it was. I took a Vornado I rebuilt several months ago and plugged it in and it would hum and try to turn the rotor but would stop. I gave it a push and it would spin but only a couple of times and stop again. I took the motor apart and re greased it and oiled it up again just in case something was lodged in the bearing. The motor does not turn extremely free but it turn fairly free. I am at a loss on what to do next. Any help appreciated. https://youtu.be/jno7qDQl4i0

I took the motor out of the fan and put an ohms meter on it and it reads 10.5. Its a two lead motor. Not sure what the issue is. Its like some of the wingdings are not right. Not sure if I need a new stater or not.

I took the motor apart and cleaned and oiled it again, taking care to put it back together so the rotor spins free. Hooked up the wires direct and when plugged in it turns maybe an eighth of a turn and freezes. I also can not spin it like the magnetic is holding it in place. Unplug it and it spins good again. This has to be the stater correct?
