Very nice, Steven! :) A BMY was on my "top 5" from day one. Strangely ended up with a 16" early(ornate cast motor) 1906 Pancake first. Then later acquired a 1912 BMY, which used the updated and more reliable polyphase motor. Taller as well, to accommodate better tilt and easier switch access. I would like an early Centrifugal start short variant, but really don't need one, since one BMY is plenty for me in the tight space constraints. My Jandus Wire Mount has the identical motor, so that is cool. BMY is definitely a poor man's cake. I'm envious of the condition of your BMY, that's outstanding. I picked up a BMY last weekend, had to drive 90 miles to get it, but was surprised to find some of the original paper instructions on the bottom of it.

Rebuilding my old collection, one from each year - all sold. Now all I need is the "Tall Boy" - all but the black one came from local Craig's List & A Junk Shop. Fun to have a red, black & white one!!

I just picked up a 16" BMY that has a very tall base. It's in pieces right now as I am replacing the head wire which was a thick rubber cord. Blade was way out of shape but I have it pretty close to balanced, but need a little more tweeking. I will post pictures once I get it back together.

I have a 16 inch BMY but whoever "restored" it bent the blades/struts backwards for some reason. It runs, but I'm hesitant to try to reshape them. Is it risky to re-bend them back? Crazy thing about that BMY is that I found it online 500 miles away. The seller had a relative who lives about 10 miles away from me and delivered it to me for free a few weeks later when he came down to visit. It felt like divine intervention of the fan type. Basic Dating, Russ Huber's Display1908 - -1909/1910/ - -1911-12 shorter = older! 1908 = Start Switch correct if I got it wrong!
