Wow, finally found a dang near perfect Vortalex 16" but I know these 4 blades are difficult when you need to remove the cage....anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks

I’d try removing the cage and blade together. A second set of hands is helpful. Make sure you use some penetrant on the motor shaft and remove the locking screw and put penetrant down that hole too. Let it set overnight tooThen try loosing the blade from the shaft and then remove the cage and blade as one. I’ve done 2 of these 16” Vorty’s. Good luck

Good advice from Malcolm. I did the same thing to get my blade/cage off. It's not that bad, give it a try.

Remove the blade and cage together, then tilt the blade slightly within the cage and twist it out of the cage struts.  In kind of an unscrewing motion it'll remove. They can be a pain.  Even tougher to get them back in after repainting without scratching the new paint.
