 I bought a replacement flag for the 8 inch R&M. Its the correct size and original not a re-pop. My cage is brass wire but steel on the inner and outer ring. How were these attached? Do I make bands of brass to make a few rings to solder the flag to? I can attack maybe to the wire cage where it goes through the inner ring, I wan to make it look as correct as possible. Thanks.

 Solder. Back side. I'd just epoxy but up to you.

 I also used epoxy on my 1153. Works well.  :up:

May I ask when you bought a 9” replacement flag?  I am not are of anyone in the club making them.   If anyone knows a source please let me know.

 The flag was not a repop, it was an original. One of the antique parts suppliers had an original for sale. I epoxied the flag on to hold it then put small strips of brass sheet metal bent to fit so you cant see it and soldered it on the back to make it permanent.
