Hi,
When I bought my 1510 the front retainer was missing. Darryl sent me one. I noted that both the front and rear retainer have an internal matching thread. I wonder if there is suppose to be a threaded rod that runs through the shaft to hold the front  retainer on? The Emerson diagram does not show one.

My 11648 has a long rod running from the front brass nut to the rear one and that's what holds the bearing and rotor in place.   There should be a washer on the front end, not sure about the rear as it has been a long time since I dealt with my fan.  The ends of the rod are threaded but only about ½" or so.
