I know its friction mounted rubber. But I can not get it to budge. Can I use blaster penetrating oil to loosen it?

Have not tried his, however, it might work.
You still have RuGlyde for those Samson blades?

It might work on that plug.

What worked good was to use a hair dryer to heat it and it came right off.
